14-Year-Old Girl Delivers Triplets In Kenya As Boyfriend Disappears

Sept 2nd, 2013 – 14-Year-Old Girl Gives Birth To Triplet Babies In Kenya As Boyfriend Disappears Mwanaharabu Wamukoya, a teenager who hails from Harambee village in Kenya’s kakamega city has delivered 3 bouncing babies. The 14-year-old teen gave birth to triplets (baby boys) in Bungoma County by C-section last week. According to the nurse on duty, Mary Marumbu, the babies and their teenage mother were in good condition and ready to go home. However, the father of the triplets, a 16-year-old boy was said to have disappeared for fear of sudden responsibility after hearing of the triplets. The teenage father is a secondary school drop out and a menial worker. The jobless mother of three who claims she’s helpless also said; “My boyfriend has no ability to take care of the babies even if he was here. We are grateful to the government for scrapping off maternity fees because I will be free to go home once discharged. I would have been detained here if I had been asked to pay,” As at the time of this report, the case has been reported to the police. According to a report, Kenya has the highest rate of teenage pregnancies in East Africa. Who will take care of these innocent triplets?

We made it to September, we will make several more to come :-) The Pope who is the leader of the world’s 1.2 billion-strong Catholic community, protocol usually dictates that visitors bow to him when they meet him at the Vatican but the Pope has once again shown his willingness to break with tradition by bowing to Muslim royal Queen Rania of Jordan as a Vatican official said the new Pope Francis ‘is not interested in protocol’ ‘Francis behaves as he did before he became pope and is not interested in protocol’, a senior Vatican official told Journalist. Up until the 19th century, those meeting the pope stoop to kiss his slippers and, to this day, the tradition remains that all visitors, including women, bow to him, the official said. He even took a “selfie” picture with young teenage girls to show that he is well in tune with modern life. The pope has already amassed more than three million followers on the social networking site Twitter, with his latest picture believed to be the first ever ‘papal selfie’. Pope Francis has made a concerted effort to understand and integrate with worldwide youth since he succeeded Pope Benedict XVI as he has already charmed the masses with his informal style, simplicity and sense of humour. He has also being known to personally call people up who have written to him asking for prayers or told him of personal tragedy. Sept 2nd, 2013 - British Intelligence Service Proposed 3000 Pounds UK Visa Bond To Prevent Nigerians From Entering Britain – Report By UDUMA KALU, Vanguard A report from a United Kingdom based journal, University World News, has said the £3,000 visa pilot scheme against Nigeria was proposed by the British intelligence service, MI6 and British police headquarters at Scotland Yard. The new UK visa scheme will impose £3,000 (US$4,740) in charges on unspecified visa applicants thought to be ‘high risk visitors’ from Nigeria, Ghana, Bangladesh, India and Pakistan. The Nigerian government has threatened retaliatory measures if London goes ahead with the ‘refundable’ but unpopular visa bond. The report said there was palpable anger and disappointment among Nigerians who have gained admission into British universities for the upcoming academic session. Students already in UK institutions are also unhappy about a new ‘visa bond’ scheme to be implemented against ‘high risk’ visitors by the David Cameron’s administration. As a precautionary measure, many parents have instructed Nigerian banks to suspend, for now, sending tuition and accommodation fees to British universities, the report noted. The report written by Professor Tunde Fatunde, a Nigerian scholar quoted diplomatic sources in Abuja, as saying that both the M16 and the Scotland Yard, are reportedly worried that some foreign students who apply for visas to study in British universities have developed, in their home countries, ideas and determination to commit terrorism on British soil. The report said, the visa bond is believed to be a subtle way of ensuring that students who are labelled as ‘high risk’ know that they will be targets of intelligence surveillance while they are studying at British universities. It quoted a diplomat, who did not want to be named, as saying that Ghana was included on the ‘high risk’ country list because its airport and seaports were thought to be avenues for Latin American drug cartels who use some Ghanian students as drug couriers. The same diplomat said some students from Nigeria, Pakistan, India and Bangladesh had been involved in terrorism in Britain. He cited the examples of Umar Farouk Abdulmuttalab, a Nigerian and former student of University College London, who tried to blow up an American plane in December 2009, and student Michael Adebolajo, a Nigerian-born Briton, who recently hacked a British soldier to death. “The British government is convinced that the use of visa bond may go a long way to make Britain safe,” the diplomat said. The diplomat also revealed that the visa bonds would be extended to some non-students thought to be high risk and hinted that British embassies might collaborate with local intelligence services in collecting evidence on some visa applicants.
