June 8 sit-at-home: MASSOB hails Ndigbo

From EMMANUEL UZOR, Onitsha The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB has congratulated Ndigbo on what the group described as total compliance to their sit-at-home order last Saturday, June 8. Commenting on Saturday’s sit at home, the Regional Administrator of MASSOB, Onitsha Region 4, Arinze Igbani lamented the Nigerian security agents instead of tackling insurgency in the North, they concentrated on killing harmless members of MASSOB and called for immediate release of those arrested by security men during the sit at home. “I want to commend Ndigbo for adhering to our appeal for us to sacrifice June 8 to remember our brothers, who were senselessly murdered in Apo in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The reaction of the Federal Government through its security agencies, especially the army, police and Navy were just nothing, but act of cowardice. The Federal Government deployed its might just because a particular people decided to respect the sanctity of human life.
